Question Viewable area on monitor cut off

Have a Dell 2005FPW and 256MB eVGA FX5500 connected via D-sub. The right side is cut off enough that in the task bar clock, the "M" of PM/AM is cut off and the scroll bar of my browser can't be seen. Tried the monitor auto adjust, moving the viewable area around in the "Screen Adjustment" of the driver display properties, changing the resolution and changing back to the monitor's native resolution.. no go. Seems to only have happened today, as I did not notice this yesterday. Can't produce any screenshots because they turn out like it should be.

LCD monitor? Try the Clock adjustment in the monitors options.

Clock adjustment produced the same effect as using "Screen Adjustment" from the display properties, but I managed to fix it by using the factory reset for position.

Wondering how this happened in the first place.
