    Question HELP CHOOSING GRAPHICS CARD!!!

    Please Help Me decide on which card i should have between the two below...

    I currently own a eGe-Force 6200 256MB AGP8x card that has a stock core of 201MHz, and RAM @ 401 MHz, i have the core OC'd @ 210 MHz though, i was wondering if i should get the card below....it's in my price range, but if there is a something better for AGP that i can get, let me know...

    Ge-Force 5500 256MB FX OC. This card has a "factory overclock" from i think...204MHz, to 290MHz!!!!!! and Dual RAM @ 395MHz, thank you!!!

    Ok, well for long term you should go for the eVGA GeForce 6800GS. It's $200, maybe under, and it's a great card. AGP correct? Yeah, that would do you good. If you can't spend $20 more, which would be ashame, then I would go with the 6600GT, but for the price, a 6800GS is great. (I have it lol)

    Lol, didn't know the x800GTO had an AGP variant!

    The 6800GS would be a great card, but failing that because of the price then the x800GTO would blow the 5500 or 6200 out of the sky.

    6800GS = ~$200
    6600GT = ~$140

    Both are great AGP cards, if you can put out the extra money for the 6800GS, then definatly go for it. BTW whats your system to see if any bottlenecks will occur, so you could maybe get a cheaper card and put money towards more ram, etc..

    6800GS is a much better card than the 6600GT. The 6600GT will become outdated quickly because it only has 8 pipes while the 6800GS has 12. It may not make a lot of difference right night, but it may show later, when more demanding games come out, such as the new Unreal Tournament

    Yeah, I have the 6800GS and didn't expect that card to handle games well, but I'm playing all new games on high settings, so definetely get it
