Erm... the PSU may end up frying your entire system . And the purchase of a new one would require rewiring it for the Dell board.

EEK!, hes right, I, or WE recommend you get a new PSU before you fire up that card. Dell doesn't make their systems "powerful-video card ready", so they put in a box with their poop in it, which is good enough to power the system for basic stuff.
That card is a monster in power, since its powerful..
DONT PUT IT IN YET! http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817104953
^Highly recommended PSU going around in the forum. 40 bux

250-275 watts wont cut it for that monster of a card you have there. It will cause damage to your parts if it bugs out on you...
He means you'll have to unplug the power wires going in the mobo and unscrew the PSU out of the case to replace it.
It sounds daunting at first, I know, but its actually easy. The PSU slips out once you unscrew it, and its not that hard to find out where the cords go. (Match the shapes ^_^) Just make sure you plug all of them in. :P |
