    dvi-i and dvi-d

     
    can i take the 4 c pins out so that it will fit my monitor?

    i have a dvi-d at the back of my monitor
    and i bought a dvi-i cord
    my video card supports dvi-i
    but my monitor supports dvi-d
    can i break/pull or some how get rid of the other pins
    c1, c2,c3,c4?

    Return the cable for a DVI-D model, sorted.

    NO....Look at the pin setup on the right. Totally different.

    Return, and buy correct cable. LOL...
