Question So Many Choices; So Little Ca$h!!!

Okay, here it is. I need a new Video Card, I know that, I'm just hung up on what to get. I currently have a Radeon 9250 PCI "Special Edition" (my a55!) and it's a PCI, so, I know anything I get will be an upgrade. Right now I only get about 45FPS in Half-Life 2, and I'm sure most of the load is on my CPU. I am considering buying a Radeon 9200 AGP version, which I have tried, and, I like it alot. It's only $45, and it can at least play Call Of Duty. The only question I have is if I should buy it now (i've got enough $$) and then save up enough to get the sweet BFGTech 6800 GS, or, If I should just not play games, and wait until I have enough to buy the 6800. Please let me know...

Hi there, well the increse between the 9200 and the 6800GS will be a huge one ... but the wait can be murder! but you still have your pci 9200 right so i would wait for the 6800 it will give a much better boost. ohh with that card you can easly play Quake 4 and CoD2!!

If possible, its always better to save up.

I might get something in between your 2 choices. But if u were to save up, y not just get a 7800

    45fps in BF2? That's pretty good IMO.

Honestly, I'd wait and save the cash for a nice card... Even if you sold that 9200 AGP card, you would probably get half of what you paid for it back... So you'd be losing money on the whole deal.
It's tough to save, but it's worth it.
Quake 4 on a 6800GS I had got GREAT framerates with lots of candy on. It's a solid performer.

Yeah, you guys are right. I'll just wait till I can upgrade to the 6800 GS I want. Thanks for all the help and opinions!
