single or dual rail amp requirements
Ok im looking to upgrade my fx 5200 to a 7800gs AGP but in order to do so i need to upgrade my PSU also. ive found two power supplies but i dont know which to get. the specs say i need atleast 26 amps on the 12v rail. One power supply has 34amps on one 12v rail which i know would be sufficient but i heard dual rails was better for PSUs. So the other power supply i was looking at has 2 12v rails, one is 17 amps and the other is 18amps. is that enough amps combined in the two or does it have to be a minimum of 26 amps on one rail?
