Well i figured the HannsG didnt look good, but how about LG this one according to what i read in spec's (my opinion only and its not that good sometimes) looks pretty good but like someone said earlier specs can be altered to make them sound or look good on paper. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824005075

LGs are usually pretty good. They are one of the companies that makes the actual display screens (most companies, like viewsonic, don't make the actual screen, just the drive circuitry, packaging, and such). They aren't usually top in their categories, but they usually work well for people on a budget. ACcording to the specs on newegg, it isn't that bright (although still 33% brighter than the HannsG, and in reality probably even more so due to measurement variances), but it's contrast rating is phenominal (which I'm skeptical of). Even if it's 1000:1 instead of 1400:1 though, that's still very good.
It's still only a 6-bit panel though, which I don't advise people to buy, but if you don't do photography or are insensitive to dithering (you won't be able to tell until you see one) then it will be fine. |

| No you are correct in reference to your second link, however newegg (your first link) states it supports 16.2 million colors. Also if you go to LGs website and check out the specs there it says 16.2 million colors. So basically the second site you listed gave a typo. It's really a 6-bit panel. |

I found a pretty good deal on a ViewSonic wide screen lcd. Model no vx2235wm. Its a 22in wide screen. Native resolution is 1680x1050. My video card is an ATI AIW 9600 Pro. I checked the resolution outputs on ATI's website and its capable of up to 2048x1536. I don't see 1680x1050 in the list of resolutions. Is this going to be a problem? Hate to blow my bucks only to find the video card not up to the task.

| It looks meh...nothing horrible, but also nothing good. Low brightness, but not horrendously so, same with contrast. 6-bit panel. Personally I would spend about $10-$20 more to get a viewsonic, NEC, or the like. |
