when will the new directx 10 cards be coming out,and how will they compare to the top end cards now? and does anyone know roughly what the prices will be.

they wont come out until vista comes out and they will obviously be better and faster then the current cards and some rumours say they will have shader model 4. no idea on the cost though. companies are pretty tight lipped, no for sure dates set yet

Actually, I would be willing to bet the next round(which will have DX 10) of cards comes out in late October/early November.

Though Windows XP won't support DX 10, you will need Vista.

You can pretty much bet that the DX cards will simply follow the price scheem as your current cards. You'll see high prices upon launch then it will drop sharply in a short period of time.
