Buying Graphics Card

Hey,

Can someone suggest to me a PCI-Express Graphics card that I can buy from somewhere like Ebay Australia for under $180 Australian?

I found the Radeon X800 XT for $179...

Is this good "bang for buck"?

it has 500mhz core clock speed, 1000mhz memory clock speed and 32Gb/s memory bandwidth... It is also ranked 31 in an Ebay guide of the top 100 cards.

the x800XT is a great card but also has its downsides. it doesnt used shader model 3.0 or HDR lighting effects but will give you framerates comparable to a 7800GS (however without as much eyecandy) but since it doesnt use SM3.0 or HDR it requires MUCH less power and draws its power solely from the pci-X slot and doesnt require a separate power line from your PSU. Im pretty sure you need a 350 watt power supply still and for $180 AUD which works out to be about $150 Canadian, id say thats a pretty good price.

EDIT: can someone please explain to me what shader model 3.0 and hdr do? Im a noob at this stuff.
