    White dot on LCD desktop.

My grandson in the USAF in ND has a 19" LCD monitor with a wierd problem. He says he has a white dot in the middle of his screen which he can click on and it turns blue but only on wallpaper of any kind, even when he selects none. I thought it was dead or stuck pixels, however, he says the dot does not show up on any application he runs. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks

Finally, fixed it, but still don't understand the problem. Dot only appeared on any desktop including <none> but no applications. Tried TweakUI which appeared to fix it but problem was back in a few days. Last Monday downloaded and installed latest NVidia GEForce rivers for his 6600 and the problem is GONE! Go figure!!

Good for you. Sounds like you solved your own problem. I do that myself sometimes. Always worth the experience.
