Did you try lowering the refresh rate to stop the twinkling?

well, in VGA mode.. i could use 75hz... (it hides all other modes the monitor won't support) .. i switched to DVI ... but had to lwr to 60 and it got rid of the twinkles.. works fine now...

only problem i find now is.. it's sometimes harder to get game graphics to work with DVI then VGA .. trying to set them up.. uugh... Sims 2 sucks with this DVI ... (probably cause i can't get it to setup correctly) who knows.. LOL...

Do you have the option to pick 1440x900 in the game setup? If not this link might help.

yeah... it did have the option... so i am running it in Sims2 and Far Cry ...

did a few tweaks.. seems to be running ok now... Sims2 was making a few artifacts... everynow and then.... (might be due to I have my 6800 unlocked to 16 pipes...) .. but not sure yet.. as Far Cry doesn't artifact ... and my 2 tests with 3d mark 03 and aquamark 3 so far havn't produced any artifacts...
