I have been using multiple monitors for years.
Used a AGP with a PCI card (3 monitors worked fine) Nvidia
Used a AGP with a PCI card (4 monitors worked fine) ATI
Used a PCI-E with a PCI card (4 monitors worked fine) Nvidia
Used a PCI-E with a PCI-E card (4 monitors worked fine) Nvidia
All under XP and now running dual PCI-E cards under Vista and works great as well.
I wouldn't mike and match GPU types so try to stick with either Nvidia or ATi brands of cards together. |

i'm sitting at a machine right now with a nvidia geforce fx5200 dual output pci card and an ati x1600 dual output agp card with 3 monitors and the option of a tv It's really not so hard to set up I agree matching brands doesn't make it easier..but diff brands is still very possible |

i also use a program called ultramon, cool for editing your wallpapers aswell |

Can't believe nobody mentioned Matrox's TrippleHead2Go...
Works friggen great! I got one and love it. http://www.matrox.com/graphics/en/ca...h2go/th2go.php
Just REALLY think about it if you have an ATI card, cause' it only goes up to 2400x600 on those things. But for Nvidia, it's all the way. *HL2 in Surround Gaming is awesome!*

Dont think i can use TrippleHead2Go?
I've one resolution in 1680x1050, one 1280x1024 and a 1366 x 768.
Then it only supports 2 screen? |

You'll prolly want DVI. But, otherwise, any cheap crap card will work. Look into the Radeon 7000, it's still available most anywhere and is cheaper than the 9250.
Of course, you may as well try the Sis first, it may be good enough. Usually, though, the analog inputs on an LCD TV leave a bit to be desired for picture quality. |

Oh. F**king Vista.
You'll prolly will have problems with any really old cards, but anything in the Radeon class should be supported just fine. |
