Ok fair enough ! I'm a bit of a scrudge ! I would fork out for the DX10 card as the reviews look amazing ! and it would last a few years ! Carl you know a hell of a lot more than me ! So your gonna be right ! Cant help being stingey

Thanks a lot guys, i think i will go for the 7900GS, using http://www23.tomshardware.com/graphi...=547&chart=208 charts, it look VERY impressive for only £92

You said that my hardware would bottleneck me anyway, what do ya mean by that? my stuff not up to scratch??

I will leave the DX10 cards for now, as for the 7900 it looks like it will handle Oblivion with ease.

Any reason why i should not buy it please tell me soon and if you could list some cheap sites to get it from would be a great help

If you were to get a 8800GTS/X your 3200+ would be hard pressed to keep up with it. That would have been the bottleneck. The next gen video cards like the 8800 series require a fast dual core cpu to get the most out of them.

The 3200+ will be fine paired with the 7900GS though.

AND 1GB of ram really isnt enough to compliment it. Anything that requires an 8800series card to play with smooth framerates will also require 2GB of ram for that smooth FPS.

The 7900GS is proly the highest end card that goes well with your setup
