Just bought Vista...no SLI means no gaming, what do I do?

OK I just bought Vista Home Premium and installed all the drivers and fired up UT2004. After changing the resolution settings the display was corrupted and I had to exit.

Looks like I don't get SLI support in Vista. WTF, that's absurd. "SLI support will arrive in a future driver update" according to nVidia.

So, can I use the XP drivers and get SLI? Or am I going to have to wipe and install XP so I can go to the LAN party this weekend that I paid dearly for?

I dont think xp drivers will work, and if they do it wouldn't work well. It has been well known that nvidia has been behind on getting some decent vista drivers out.

you might want to look around at guru3d.com for some modified drivers.

My next upgrade is to add another 2GB of ram for a total of 4GB and a 150GB raptor drive for Vista 64bit. I'm going to do a dual boot config and keep my curent XP setup specifically to avoid problems such as these.

64bit? Why, its worthless at this point. there is zero driver support for it. It'll be years before its anywhere close to good shape.

nVidia dropped the ball this time...but then again many other companies took their sweet time with Vista drivers(I am also dual booting with XP because my Intel graphics drivers are messed up on Vista).
