Settings For O/C'ing A GF3 Ti200
i just wanted to make a note of the settings i should choose when i eventually overclock this card. i have a program that came with the card and it has 2 slide bars:
Core Speed (MHz) 175
RAMDAC (MHz) 350
Those are the settings at the momment, i just wondered how high i should go without setting the thing on fire . Its got a fan on the card and ram sinks.
If you could tell me what settings i should look at first
Hope you can help

Go by 5MHz steps for the core and 10MHz for the memory ...(this is how i do it) .. when feel instability use 1~2MHz steps to reach the MAX stable point ...
I think your card should make it till 200/400 stable ....
Check and see

Not that much as you have already a great card
I OC my card because i don't feel good running it at the default speeds ...
Overall, it ain't worth it IMO ... you will not tell the difference, unless you benchmark
PS. don't stress too much on the core speed .. consider getting as much as you can from the memory .. because the card needs every bit of bandwidth ...

the best way is how ken said. go by 5mhz. i tired to just go for a large number and all i did was freeze the computer.
right now my Gainward card is running at 235/500 with stock cooling
btw who makes your card?

Either you will get a black screen or garbled graphics.

linkinpark when you use cool bits before it will accept the changes it will ask you to test it out. the screen will go blank for a second then come back on. if it just sits there then that setting will not work

my MSI G3Ti200 with retail h\s and fan goes 226\500 stable for over a month (hey! i only have it for a month! ) and runs perfectly stable all then high-end graphic games.
after oc\ing it runs aroung 20-25 extra fps in games and got 6300 in 3dmark 2001 benchmarking.
