HDTV/Computer Monitor: Any REAL Ones ?

I've been looking for a Monitor that can do double-duty --and from what I read in consumer Reviews at Newegg and elsewhere --so have others.

But most read, "This is a Good/Great TV, but a lousy Monitor."
    Or, Visa Versa.

Maybe the different demands placed on a HDTV monitor and a Computer monitor are just too far apart for a REAL "combo" Monitor.
    At least for now.

But are there any Good HDTV monitors that are also at least decent Computer Monitors ?
    And Visa Versa] ?

26" and below would be preferred as I can see myself looking at a Jumbo Computer monitor.

    ThanX

I use this 27" Olevia as my computer moniter. Crystal clear. Ive watched anime/movies on it, read/write text for hours, and played games for hours: no complaints. The 1366x768 resolution is normal, but a little small height wise for my liking.

I havent gotten around to using anything but the VGA connection. I will re-post an update when I do. ( Not till Aug6-7 )

The problem is the standard dinky resolution of monitors that small. 1344x768 is about the best you can do. 1080p TVs make pretty good monitors, though, so long as the signal is processed and displayed properly.

Olevia has developed a god reputation for value for dollar, but those side speaker jobs are just too big.

Also, the High resolution HDTVs are usually 42" and up.

Maybe its better to start with a Computer monitor and use it for TV. But I'm not sure exactly what I need..an internal or external TV tuner? Or will the cable Box digital Tuner do the job.

Ther are so many variations that it's hard to keep track anymore.

I remember when you needed a PCI hardware DVD card to watch plain DVD on a Computer !

    A 22" Dell $300 Monitor has a DVI-D that supports HDCP for about $300.
