Best Graphics Card For AGP x8 slot ?

Hello
Does anyone know of graphics cards that play great with an AGP 8x slot ? I would like decent visuals but am more focused on smooth gameplay
any ideas ?

the best you can go with AGP is a 7800. that should be very smooth.. but it also depends on what games your gonna play.. and also your budget

i mainly play first person shooters and strategys such as command and conquer. Hitman blood money and stuff like that also.
My budget would be around 100 pounds
any ideas ?

Probably a 7900GS.. That should be within your budget.

Or if you can find an X1950Pro for a good price, that would be better.

he cant get a 7900GS because the best made for AGP is a 7800. get a 7800. should be about 100 pounds i think

The 7800GS wouldnt work with his 250W PSU.

7900GS IS available in AGP. Just do a google search.

ATi released the X1950pro in 8x agp, albeit a bit pricey, it completely dominates any other 8x agp card out there.

i own an 8x AGP ATI x1950

its a great card, there is nothing they'll make to put in this slot thats better than it, she's a real beast. barely fits in my case and takes loads of power.

last upgrade for this machine, we'll be going PCI-E soon along with a new cpu and mobo, memory, etc.
