Computer Crashes with new Ati Radeon Card

I recently installed a new Ati Radeon x1600pro Graphics Card on my computer, i did all the right things, installed the software etc.. , when iam using the internet my computer screen freezes and will then turn black, sometimes it will say out of sync, or restart itself, I also have a problem when palying back some video, its ok when iam playing games though. Can anyone help
