I stop getting display when Windows boots up...

My friend just gave me an inno3D MX(440)SE TV SDR 128MB AGP Grahics card. I know it works, because he was using it in his computer. Anyways, when I boot up my pc, it tells me the info on the card, and displays everything just as it should, but as soon as it should display the log-in screen, it stops, and nothing else works.... I've tried hooking it to my Tv, to make sure it wasn't just the connector, or my monitor, but it did the same thing.

The fan on it works, and my computer detects it fine, but just as soon as it should have the log in screen, nothing..... I know my computer isn't freezing, because I managed to log in, and heard the log on sound.

If I can't get it to work, oh well, it was free, but I really want to use it. I have a 32MB right now.....

did you uninstall your old vid cards drivers before plugging in the new card? Your probably running into a incompatible vid card, thus no video, and since its not something mainstream, your OS might not have drivers it knows are compatible to display an image.

I would recommend using your old card, and uninstall everything, reboot into compatability mode, and then install the new card so you know its going to display everything in the most generic way with a generic driver to test out the card.

If that doesnt work you might have an incompatible AGP card for your mobo maybe?
