GeForce 8500GT and ASUS Striker Extreme

Hi,
I hope some body can shed some light as to why my ASUS Striker Extreme MoBo is using 700 odd MB of my System RAM for graphics when i have a Geforce 8500GT card in it with 256MB?

I want the graphics card to use only its own on board RAM and not system RAM.

Any ideas how to disable it?

Vista 32 bit
Intel Pentium Dual Core 2.40GHz
2Gb RAM
geforce 8500GT 163.75 driver

Hi there, Welcome to TIMO!

You have to go into your bios, and look in the options to disable it.
Most ASUS boards, you hit the [delete] key to enter bios.
After you've changed the option, hit [F10] and that will give you the option for "Save and Exit".
And that should do it!

I have already been in the bios many times but I cant see any options to set the graphics memory allocation.


Someone HELLP!!! its eating all my RAM with no improvement
