I've never heard of Palit and XFX is a main stream company and for the next viable future I think a 512mb card will do well for gaming (if that is what you are doing with the vid card). I would go for the lower memory but faster rates and and with a company that is trusted like XFX.
Although you could take your chances on the other card and probably overclock it to a higher rate to match the XFX.

get the XFX card. I think the faster timings would be better that 1gb of GPU memory.
and NCIX is great. |

I totally agree is Sixpac here. The XFX card is much more trust worthy then the Palit.
You can always overclock your GPU some to make up for the lower speeds.
Just my two cents of course! |

Sorry to bump an old topic but I'll be in the market soon. I have a 37" 1080p LCD I'm using as a monitor and I'm wondering if the 1GB version would be better for me considering I'll be playing games at a higher resolution?

All depends on what the resolutions the video card supports and as well as your LCD tv.
The amount of memory at this point won't matter. |

either of the two cards will work fine.
I would stick to a name brand 512mb card though. |

Alright. I think I'll go with an eVGA 512MB card then. |
