    plug in card?

very quick and stupid question, what is a plug in card? does this mean that you just "plug it in" and it works? and is this related to "plug and play?" i've searched EVERYWHERE but nothing came up...

Yea. I think pretty much refers to any PCI type card that your "plug in" to a slot. You will have to install drivers in most cases.
