it's a lot more modern then the 9200 ... depends on what you want to do with the card.. if it's just for desktop use or browsing the web etc.. (or very little gaming).. it will be fine

what is the rest of your system? the graphics card usually is not the one which makes the whole computer crash except if its during heavy gaming

The 6200 isn't a good card at all for gaming. I've had one, and it didn't run much.
What's your budget for the new card?
We'll see if we can find you something that would perform better for the price!

don't really play games very much got a pentium 4 3.0ghz 1GB ram. been having trouble with the card for a while now screen freezes then goes blank then have to restart computer when just viewing web pages or video. The 9200 has got 128mb of ram i've seen some geforce 6200 cards with 256mb would they be ok aswell?

    Thanks!

i think it would more of the crap on your computer like spyware and stuff causing the lockups and not your video card. do you have any other video cards from another system to steal for awhile to check? because it would be really pointless to upgrade your video card, for one because your not a gamer and you dont need any more horsepower than you already have, and two because the card your upgradin to aint that great. what would be worse is if there was nothing wrong with your current card in the first place. your obviously not doing graphically intensive so i dont see how the card can be the problem
