The 8400 GS - Up to 512Mb?

Hi,

I am going for a reasonable low-end card thats plenty flexible and cost effective and come across the xfx 8400 gs with 256mb.

This card states that it supports up to 512mb, but im wondering what does it mean by that? there are no explanations that clarify what it claims and im at a loss becuase from the physical appearance from the card, there appears to be no expansive capability.

Can anyone clue me up on what this wonderous sounding claim means??

Hi ConQU3sT. Welcome to TechIMO.

It means that you can buy the card with either 256 or 512 MB of memory already installed on the card.
