Best 1080p Graphics Card Playback?
Hi,
I am not concerned with games as I only want to play BluRays at 1080p seamlessly on my 60" big screen. I do not want to sacrifice play back quality at 1080i so I am very interested in which card I should get to best fit my needs.
I know that I should get AVC hardware assist and/or PureVideo, but is there a difference in BluRay HD 1080p playback between evga eForce 8600 GT 256MB SuperClocked card and the 8800 GT 512MB (g92 core)? Should I get an ATI card instead?
I am only concerned with 1080p playback but still want Direct 10 support for Vista and the future, but I see no point in spending the extra money if the 8600GT does a great job at 1080p (if at all).
Thanks
