Hello,
People at this forum seem to be very knowledgable and helpful and I am hoping someone could give me some advice. I am definitely not an expert, but I am desperately trying to fix a problem!
I have a Dell Inspiron notebook which I have used for the past few years like a desktop (all the time) and have never had a problem with any part of it. I was using a 3d modelling program when I received an error message that the program had run out of memory and would close (this isn't unusual). I waited a few minutes and started it back up again to play around with some very simple commands when the screen became black with red bars running across it. I restarted, since I couldn't do anything else, and I could not start windows normally. I went into safe mode, where the bars were still visible through the interface. I followed the windows help suggestions by rolling back the video card driver and restarted it - now neither safe mode nor 'normal' windows will start. Is it possible that windows is funtioning normally, but the video card isn't displaying it? Choosing 'last known configuration' doesn't help.
The video card is a NVidia GeForce Go 6800 model. If you have any ideas, please throw them at me.
I would be very, very grateful!
