4870 potential bottleneck
I have decided after reading a few reviews that I'm going to replace my sub-par 8800GTS 320 G-80 with a new HD4870. I've also read a few comments, about this, (and the GTX 2--'s), pehaps encountering CPU bottlenecking. I won't be overclocking the card, but my CPU is OC'd.
My question is, do yall think this 4870 would be choked by my E6420 wich runs at stock vcore, 8x 375MHz = 3GHz?Check out my music:

Hard to say for sure, but there would most likely be at least a little bit of a bottleneck. I've seen several reviews where they ran a 4870 with a Core 2 Extreme at 3GHz, and they said that it still suffered from a CPU-dependent bottleneck.
You'll still get great performance from the card, but it might be held back from its full potential.
