Upgrading my GFX card ??

Hi.
Can someone please tell me if i have a AGP slot and some PCI slots but an AGP card came with the machine can i still get a pci GFX card ??? I've really been hoping i can upgrade to one of the Nvidia cards in the 8800's or as close as possible ????

While you can have a PCI card, you're confusing PCI with PCI-Express, which the 8800 series uses (and above).
While in order to use a PCI-Express card you will need a new motherboard, CPU, and RAM, you might be able to find a graphics card that is decent for AGP yet.
However, since your computer does have AGP, your CPU may need to be upgraded to use the latest games at a decent framerate.
Do you know the specifications of your PC? Include the Power Supply specifications that are on the Power Supply.

There are three types of graphic cards slots.
1. PCI
2. AGP
3. PCI-E

The newest cards only come out in PCI-E. Which you do NOT have.
PCI cards are horrible. So AGP is the type you would want. Or buy a new PC.

im not sure about the power supply, but..

XP Home Edition.
Any suggestions on what the best card i could get is ? im adding another 512mb ram to help untill i can get some more ???
