Well Here it is... http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1.../000_0063a.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1.../000_0064a.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1.../000_0065a.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1.../000_0066a.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1.../000_0067a.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1.../000_0069a.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1.../000_0070a.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1.../000_0071a.jpg
seems UPS actually delivered a day early for once, despite leaving it on the backsteps (overhang over entry so was protected from sun atleast), with out ringing the doorbell, just left it next to door & walked away, from the time of delivery listed on the tracking, to the time I realized it had been delivered it had been sitting outside for over an hour, box was pretty damn warm to the touch too...
newegg did an exquisite packing job as well (sarcasm), looked like a beat to hell package, luckily it was packed with some airbags, but those were on one side of box, cards box was on other side, so only secured it from moving around, did nothing for shock absorbtion...
some images of that: http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1.../000_0062a.jpg http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a1.../000_0060a.jpg
at least it came with original box & accessories aside from Driver CD, which isn't an issue. as well as in a sealed anti static bag... so either it truly was an "Open Box" & just THAT (possibly missing the driver CD), or was refurbed from factory... in either case, its like new, if not new...
will be installing late tonight or early tomorrow morning, after I get some "preliminary" 3D Mark 06 runs & some other bench's to compare before & after with my current setup.
maybe its just me, but for some reason it seems slightly smaller than my original GTS 320MB G80 card? maybe I'm just used to these larger cards now or something, since I went from a 7800GT to the other GTS? |

just updated the drivers to the newest ones, before running any benches & damn, I forgot I had to reset up all my tweaked options in the nvidia control panel for a couple of my games... real PITA to do, trying to remember the settings |

Thanks, I just did a run of 3DMark 06, only to find its an older version, downloaded the "latest" version, but the link actually downloaded an older one, so now I have to patch it & run again... actually did worse on this run than my previous best back in May of last year 8308 if I remember the score, versus the run I just did with 8240... running 3GB DDR2 now vs 2GB last year, updated Drivers & DirectX, etc etc... installed on RAID 0 Array this time too...
anyways, updating making another run...
earlier I was admiring my new card, & decided to break out a bunch of the old classics for a little get together so to speak LOL
in mean time see if any of you can guess what cards are all there, other than the new one? |

The one with the arctic cooler is a 9800 Pro
The one above the 8800 looks like a Voodoo 5 5500 perhaps?
Not sure about the other two.

Is that a Radeon 9600 Pro on the top right-hand corner? |

Ramon's post...
1. nope, but close (Hint: it is a "Pro" model though)
2. right on (actually a possible engineering sample/pre-release/prototype board, due to not for resale stickers plastered on backside & some nig rigged looking soldered wires on front in various places), despite being a card lacking hardware T&L, the previous owner on another forums, was actually able to run Doom 3 on it somehow, so he claimed... )
monster's... LOL, looks like it could be, but a few generations older...
eagles post... nope, it preceded that generation of card...
the other 2 cards...
3. one introduced nfinite FX engine & Lightspeed Memory Architecture... (but which model?)
4. the other was one of #3's successors (also which model?)
(hint on both: should make it far easier, Ti Series... )
on a related note to the 3DMark benches... LOL, even after updating 06, I ran another bench, & got 8 points less than my previous best with this system... 8300 flat. 8300flat3DMark06-E6400-3GB-320MB880.jpg - Image - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
so guessing thats the general score for me to beat... I just wish I had a newly formatted system to do this on, but then again, probably wouldn't change much, since the old record was on my system when it was only a couple months old anyways, with new install of WinXP...
will be interesting to see how the new card improves... & then again, once the Quad gets in there (if I still have the 320MB GTS will run it with Quad to see what it gets)
even with that said, the real test will be seeing if my frame rates improve in my games, significantly, using FRAPS for that.

9700 Pro
And I'll go with FX5700 for the top right.
