Monitor's show nothing.

Computer turns on. Fans spinning. Monitors say no input. Custom computer. bout 2 years old. worked perfect up till this weekend.

Vid card? motherboard? power supply?

It could be the monitor cable (same thing happend to be a few years ago, just needed a new cable you could buy for cheap) have you got another monitor you could try it with?

can you hear that hard disk accually doing or loading something?

are you hearing any beeping?

Yup - Windows usually makes "welcome" sounds when starting. If you hear nothing, it isn't only the video.

i have dual monitors and both are out. No beeps while booting. tried booting in safe mode and nothing.

I have never been this stuck on a computer problem. i have no clue where to even start.

edit: also, one of my 3 120mm fans stopped working the night it died (it may have died sooner...but i noticed it did'nt spin anymore that morn) could this be a fried CPU? the heatsink is on tight and spins when i boot.

It's more likely that the power supply is failing. Test another *quality* unit. Never go cheap on a power supply.
