What graphics card? And other updates?

Ok so I have a Hp Pavilion a320a.

And my mother is looking at upgrading our computer for my birthday so i can play call of duty 4 but only if I get the components I need for it.
But I'm not to sure what I need to buy and exactly what is a good enough video card and stuff like that.

I know from CanYouRunIt.Com that I need to get

- 1GB System RAM --- I have 759MB
- 2.4 GHz dual core or better ---I Have Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.60GHz
-
VIDEO CARD: 3.0 Shader Support recommended. Nvidia Geforce 7800 or better or ATI Radeon X1800 or better --- I have Intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller (Intel(R) 82845G Graphics Controller)

-
Video Card Features - Minimum attributes of your Video Card

Video RAM: Required - 256 MB , You have - 64 MB
Video Card 3D Acceleration: Required - Yes , You have - Yes
Video HW Transform & Lighting: Required - Yes , You have - No
Vertex Shader Ver.: Required - 3.0 , You have - 0.0
Pixel Shader Ver.: Required - 3.0 , You have - 0.0

If anyone can give me tips on what i should buy thats not too expensive but still a good product that would be greatly appreciated.

Your in a pickle there with that system. There are no available AGP or PCI-Express slots for a video card. You would have to get a PCI type card. The best choice you could get would be the DIAMOND Radeon HD 2400PRO 256MB 64-bit GDDR2 PCI . At $92.99, it is quite expensive compared to higher performing PCI-Express video cards. You would be better served saving up and buying a newer system than trying to upgrade that one.
