| NEED HELP QUICK!!! THANKS
OK, I am really new at this whole computer graphic stage and I have no idea which graphic card is better. I'm about to buy a new computer and i've narrowed it down to two graphics cards; ATI Radeon HD 3450 and NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT.
I'm wondering which one is a better performance gaming card.
The types of games that I would play would be COD4, Bioshock, and so on..
Thank you.

To be completely honest with you I wouldn't bother with either one. Both are entry level cards that provide very little performance for gaming.

Is there a specific reason you only have the option of those two cards? Whats your budget? |

No, those are all pretty bad.
You can always just get any card they buy an 8600 GT or something. An 8600 GT only costs about $40-50.
Or you can get an 8800 GS which is about 2x as powerful as the 8600 GT for $80 after a $30 MIR. |

Since you are buying a pre-built machine buy whatever has the best features for the buck and scrap the video card for something with more power because none of those cards are going to be that great for gaming. |

Hmm, give www.xtechnology.com a try, you can mix/match/make your own system. Try not to get too carried away and it won't cost you $5k.
Nick
P.S. There are plenty of other places that you can design your own system and have someone else put it together and ship it to you. Best Buy isn't always the Best Option. |
