Vista and nVidia drivers - crashes on WoW (common problem)

I decided to start playing WoW again to pass the time, but apparently companies don't want to write good drivers for Vista even though XP support is down the tubes.

After a few minutes in it, my PC freezes and then goes to black, then comes back after a couple second, and does this a few times before BSOD'ing and doing a memory dump.

The problem is stemming from the nvlddmkm.sys file and doing a search on Google for that brings up a metric ton of issues with my configuration:

Core 2 Duo E8400
2GB DDR800 RAM
Gigabyte GA-P35-S3G
XFX 8800GTS 320MB
Audigy2 ZS
Intel Pro/1000 PCI-E card
WinVista Home Premium
Latest drivers for everything AFAIK

Any tissues for my issues?

For the vid card I was running the 177.35 with the CUDA set but dropped to 175.19 thinking that might be the problem - didn't fix it.
