GA-7VT600 and a new GFX

Hi to all,

My mom have a comp with that mobo and Rage Pro 128 Pro Ultra GL AGP. She want to ran some 3D application like Modo. Modo crash at start up and developers recommend to replace that GFX. My question is : what brand (model) of GFX do you recommed for that OLD mobo in order to ran that application and not to crash the comp (or burn something) ?

AMD Athlon Xp 2000 +
Giga-Byte VT8377 Apollo KT400/A/600 CPU to PCI Bridge
1Gb RAM DDR
HDD 30 Mb
Win XP PRO SP3

Get Geforce 8600. Its cheap and normal for 3d application

the second link is the cheapest good 3D solution but like I mentioned depending on the programs she's using, it might be better to go with one of the ones from the 1st link...

crap nevermind, I looked up Modo, Luxology > What is modo? yeah, one of the ones from the 1st link will be better off with,

anything higher, & you'd probably end up with bottlenecking the cards performance with the rest of the system (meaning the CPU & system specs are keeping the card from performing optimally)

Hi,

I bought a PNY GeForce 6200 128 MB DDR2 AGP 8X and Modo is running well. I know I have many posibilities but price was very low for that GFX only 27.99 GPB and if it is OK it is good.
