graphics card upgrade

[FONT='Verdana','sans-serif']think my old Radeon 9600 XT is now not man enough for the job. want to upgrade but i am not well up on these things.

know it has to be an AGP to work on my system. Don't want to spend a fortune but iam having trouble now stopping my games like tiger Woods o8 and Snooker 05 dropping out.

what's the next step up from the radeon 9600[/font]

[FONT='Verdana','sans-serif']Ideally i don't want to spend a lot, just to get something that would make my game playing a little more stable. Probably about £50 but maybe go to £80 or £90 if it would make a great deal of difference.

have had an offer to buy a ATI radeon x1650Pro. AGP 512mb DDR2 is the increased memory from mine which is 256mb to 512mb going to be significant?[/font]

if played at higher resolutions for those games, maybe, but can't imagine them being that demanding... for games like FPS's & RTS games, & some RPG's, yeah, can help out immensely at higher resolutions, but also the X1650 Pro is quite a bit better than the old 9600 was as well, so that should help quite a bit too.
