Wow..
Do you have a Micro-Atx board or something? Slim tower?
IF it that much longer, I'm afraid most cards will probably not fit. Even my 7800GT is within a 1/2" of being as long as the 9600GT. So I'm really not sure what to tell you.
You could get a new case, and GPU, and be somewhat close to your budget still.
Other then that, not sure..

I took a couple of pictures so you can see for yourself...i'm pretty sure the case is standard atx...tell me what you think?

P.S. The purple = PCI Express x16, Black = AGP 4x/8x, White = PCI

It looks like you have plenty of room in there.

Any single slot GPU should fit.. That one you linked to is a dual slot cooler.

I looked on the manufacturer website at the support VGA list, but i dont know if it's outdated. I have contacted them but they have never returned a call and email. So maybe I should just pick one of those cards? If so which would be the best choice?

ASRock Motherboard - Product - 775Dual-880Pro - VGA Support List

Also from what i notice there are some video cards on newegg that are 9400gt and they are smaller in length than the ones you suggested...so i'm thinking those fit

Your Mobo is not the problem here. It's the size of the card. Your motherboard can pretty much support any card, but IDK if it's gonna fit..

KK,

I have 2 of those mobo josmil1 have. Looking at his case, he's got plenty of room for the cards he is looking at.

So the cards will run on those mobo except it will only run as 4x. Does that mean I can slap my 8800gs and have it fold?? I wonder if I get the same ppd as 8x/16x? Gonna have to try that today after I log off from work on this box.
