| Would this laptop play World of Warcraft?
Hey.
I've recentley started playing World of Warcraft (only on 10 day trial atm).
However, my computer at the moment sucks.
I have every setting on the lowest, and I average around 7-10 fps.
Sucks, I know.
However, I'm gonna be buying this laptop ( Buy SAMSUNG NP-R60 | 15.4" widescreen laptop - Laptops | Comet) soon, and I was just wondering how that is gonna cope with World of Warcraft?
Please don't tell me "Spend another £400 and update it to this graphic card", because my heart is set on this laptop and I don't wanna spend out more money.
If the worst comes to the worst, I'd quit WoW and just leave it.
I just want to know whether the FPS on that laptop is going to be ok or not.
Happy Halloween. |

Yes you could probably play on that laptop. And get maybe a steady 30fps if you put the graphics on low. But dont take my word for that. Its a rough estimate based on what I know about the game and other graphics cards. In any case, you are not going to find a better graphics card unless you spend at least 200 pounds more so I say just stick with that. I checked all the lappys around the 300 to jsut over 400 mark and they all have graphics as good or crappier

I don't think it would fare well at all with WoW. It's definitely not a gamer, but it should work well with most everything else.

Well either way.
If I got just 20 fps, that's better this heap of junk.
The graphics card in this pile of wank is some SiS shit.
heh.
EDIT - The exact gfx card in this is SiS 661FX/GX Mirage Graphics.
If that's correct.

The ATI Radeon1250M is a low end graphics solution, but it should do as well or a bit better than that old SiS graphics. |
