DVI LCD works bad

This is the computer I use:

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU U7600 @ 1.20GHz
Processor Speed 1.17 GHz
Memory (RAM) 1024 MB
Operating System Microsoft Windows XP Professional
Operating System Version 5.1.2600

I have tried connecting a second LCD to the DVI-D output and I get an unclear picture.
I have the same problem when I try to connect the current working LCD, so I know it is not a problem with the LCD.

ANY IDEAS?

It's related to the video card.
Does either monitor work well when plugged to the VGA connector?
do you know what video card is in the computer?
My best guesses are either the video card can't support the monitors in the DVI interface (buy a new one) or the DVI cable is bad (check with a different cable).
