Ok so i bought this graphics card

here) and i got this ATI3650 one and i have a few questions.
1. Firstly, i inserted the card and the monitor turned on (which it stopped doing with the 2600xt), uninstalled old drivers etc, inserted disc for the new card and i get this message:
What do i do here? I click ignore/close, nothing happens.
2. Also, on the graphics card, there's this other plug in property, similar with what you find on your hard drive, the small manual seems to identify it as a 'power jack' and it says 'please make sure you plug in the external power cord if your graphics card is equipped with power jack'. Here is what i'm on about

What exactly is the purpose? Now the thing is, firstly i just inserted the card, turned on the computer and my monitor didn't turn on, it was the same with my old card, i then connected that other power plug i've pointed too (connected by the hard drive) and it works, how come?
3. Also on the box, it says for system requirements that i need a 350 watt or greater power supply recommended; how do i know that i satisfy this? And it also says '1GB of system memory' i only have 512mb ddr, does this matter?
