Artifact problem

Hey. I'm getting stripes all over my screen horisontal and vertical. I have checked the temp and its around 56 when idle. When the video card is under pressure its about 80c, but im not sure because the heat can drop really fast when tabbing down from the game.

The stripes comes almost always when im playing games.

Ive had the computer for about a year and never experienced this problem. The card im using is a 8600GT and i think (after reading threw some forums) that the problem is that the card is overheating. What do you guys think? :/

Have you contacted support from the card manufacturer? What settings are you running it at? Try dialing them back and see what happens. Seems to me she's runnin hot!

have you ever cleaned the dust off the heatsink and fan on that card? If not, thats what i would suggest you do first thing. Is there plenty of ventilation in the case? The problem im seeing is that the card is overheating due to lack of cooling.
