Hi guys,
I have an emachine H6420 with a nvidia GEforce 6100 video card.
Last night suddenly my screen got this weird blue tint. I checked my monitor with another laptop and noticed that it was fine, so I figure the problem is with my video card or some other hardware.
Anybody have any suggestions. I read online that the nvidia 6100 is on the motherboard, so can anyone suggest how I can remove it and add a new video card? How can I be absolutely sure it's the video card that has conked out.
I don't even know what an on-board video card looks like - I followed the plug for my monitor on the computer to the inside of the computer and there was no card plugged into the computer.
My computer says that it has a PCI slot available - does that mean I can plug in a new video card?
Please help this newb out!!
