PCI graphics card for my old ASUS Pundit P4S8L

Hi,

I have an old asus pundit with a P4S8L motherboard.
Unfortunatelly it only has a 2X PCI slots (not PCI-E) and I would like to improve my graphics from the integrated SIS 651.
The most exigent video program I have is the World of Warcraft. I could buy a new basic computer but I think it's really a pitty to throw this one without trying to found a solution.
So could you recommend me any PCI card? still exists?

thanks very much for your help

all depends on your budget. how much are you looking to spend?

Newegg.com - SPARKLE SP94GT512D2LHPP GeForce 9400 GT 512MB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI HDCP Ready Low Profile Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

these seems to be good for PCI, i wouldnt expect anymore than 15-20FPS out of WoW with it. It is a "bulky" card. So see about how much space you do have for it in your case. And i'd possibly look into getting a fan, which is rly no biggie what so ever.

Lemme know what you think buddy.

Hi all!!

sorry for not having answered you before. I got a bad issue related to a failed BIOS upgrading that has left me out of computer for some weeks.
About the PCI graphics card, I don't know what to do. Both the cards you suggest me bigBonehead & dejayXYZ are too expensive if I compare to the old the computer is. What I'll probably do is to buy a new computer between 250 - 350 € and leave my Pundit for my personal museum.

Thanks eventhough a lot for your help.

Those are quite expensive. Just about the lowest cost one I could find is a Zotac 5200 256mb DDR PCI Graphics card for £31.07 from Ebuyer.

From what I understand (I don't play WoW) the newer WoW levels won't run very well even if you spend the money on a PCI graphics card. The updated graphics require a good bit more CPU too. It's good that you are looking toward a new system. A PC of that vintage isn't worth investing any money trying to improve it.
