Exclamation Current PSU with new graphics card?

    heeeey
It's me again with all new questions >_<
I was wondering how my current psu would go with a radeon HD 4850 Graphics card, it says it needs 450W rec. 550W, would having a lower psu while gaming damage the computer at all?or slow it down?
If i can avoid buying one then that would be great.

    Graphics card info.
    Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE 100245DP Radeon HD 4850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

    PSU info..

    FortuneTec
    Model no. : FSP300-60THN
    AC Input: 115/220-240V ~ 7/3.5A, 60/50HZ
    DC Output: 300W
then there's a whole bunch of stuff under that like
    +3.3V --- 20.0A (ORG) +6V (RED) +12v1 ---8.0A (YEL)

    P/N : 9PA3007806
    S/N : S4371100369

Also would this card be good enough to play games like crysis, left 4 dead, bioshock, fallout 3, because i really wanna try these games out.

And any other recommendations on graphics cards would be great.
I'm trying to get something around the $100 mark.. Anything over that would mean a bit more saving.. but still any suggestions with a link to it/ info on it would be great~Thanks.

Well I did just reply to your other thread.

(A mod will need to merge these most likely).

Well that is proberly the best card you can really use due to your cpu, that 4850 will most likely be bottlenecked by your processor. The card will be able to play all those games fine no probs (just will need to turn some of the settings down).

Well as the motherboard claims to support only pentium 4 or D which are getting on a bit now and doubt they could feed a faster graphics card fast enough without hindering its performance. Sure you could go out and get a 4870 or 285 but they would not be able to work at full potential without a good cpu.

You might be best off selling what you have now and building another from scratch if you want the most powerful card to play all the games with the eye candy on.

Simple no, you could build something a bit better for around $800. The card is not bad dont expect to play games with all the settings on at the higher resolutions, cpu is also fairly outdated.

If you can get together a sort of budget I could put together a list.

Thanks for your help, but my budget would depend what i could get for my computers and stuff and i wouldn't have a clue x] but something for 800-1000 would be alright i suppose, could possibly find the money for it.

You will need a monitor, keyboard, mousse and OS. You can cut down on a couple of things if they are not needed or add if they are.

All props to Karma for the list.

You could also do an AMD system for a little cheaper and upgradeability for future.

(I am awaiting critism from the rest of you guys, I know 'Pull' is lurking again ).

Would i be able to change my cpu to something better and so then i can use the graphics card more without it getting bottlenecked or whatever it was called?
