HELP PROBLEM WITH 4770 SAPHIRE CARD

    Hi, i got a problem.
i am looking to upgrade my sapphire x850xt card so i bought a 4850. i put it in ,it was recognized but when it booted after i deleted old drivers blue screen came up with mouse cursor which i can move. i the nwent to install drivers both from cd and ati download(newest).it wont install, message says"setup did not find a driver compatible with your current hardware or os". I called HIS(CARD MANUFACTURER). They said it should work.my cpu old amd 3700 san diego but they said it should work and others in other forums use this cpu ,no problem, i called ATI and their phone line down so i rma card and ordered a sapphire 4770, thinking other card fried. 4770 came today. uninstalled my sapphire 850xt driver ,pc restarted with new card, and blue screen came up with moveable mouse cursor like with other card byt after 3 minutes icons appeared. very slow and hard to do anything but managed to
begin installation of drivers, quess what same message appears again. I dont know what to do. going into device manager does help, i cant get card identified because cant install driver. does anyone have any advice?
the motherboard is msi RS482M2/RX482M2,IT should also work because gpu pci e version 2 is backward compatibe, and i have 1gb 3200 ddr ram .yes i know system a litle outdated, but specs should have no problem(cpu wil ofcouse botteneck card) running card. My cosair 400 watt 30 amps on 12v rail also should be able run no problem(its brand new). This cpu can handle even more performance cards. does any one have any solution? card i assume i s not fried being that 2 cards now say same thing.

Might have to run a Driver Cleaner program and clean out all the bits of the old drivers. from what I understand ATI's tends to leave a lot of bits here and there behind, a bit more often than Nvidia's.

it sounds like some sort of issue with the OS not being able to find the hardware properly.

Programs Like this: Guru3D - Driver Sweeper (Setup) download from Guru3D.com

one I bought not too long ago: Drivercleaner - The worlds favourite driver solution tool Cleaned out a few extra bits of the Drivers I had when I had my Radeon 4870's in my system before the current GTX 285.
