hi guys just a quick one (i think lol)
i found a 15" lcd monitor without a power supply the monitor requires a 12v 4a dc power supply, i tested it with a 12v 0.8a power supply to see if it worked it powered up and displayed a little box that said "no signal"
now being as it was not connected to a computer this was to be expected,
but when i did try it connected to a computer which i know 100% the graphics card and vga cable is good i still get the same box with no signal
so what i want to know is, is this likely to be due to insufficient amps or could it be something more sinister,
i intend to buy a power supply with the correct amps if it is due to insufficient amps but obviously dont want to waste my money if it is due to a fault with the monitor
