hi everyone I am new to this forum but hope somebody can help me out with my pc.
I have a compaq sr1790 with ati radeon200xpress graphics card ,I cannot view my display unless screen setting are as low as 60hz and 800x600 pixels.
Above this the display oscillates rapidly sideways as so the image is double,I have substituted my lcd monitor for a known good crt type with no improvement so the fault must be in the pc tower the vertical and horizontal syncs seem to vary across the screen and when vieved on the steadiest setting appears to be like a rippling upwards movement through the screen this problem started intermittently one day but is now permanent please any one had similar or know of a cure
