Hello everybody,
Yesterday I got the new computer. It came with broken plastic front and bent metal box through courier.
Specs: Processor: Intel® Core 2 Quad Q8200
Motherboard: Asus P5P43TD (Intel P43 chipset, 4xDDR3, PCI-E 2.0)
Graphics card: ATI Radeon HD 4870 1GB
4GB DDR3 1333mhz (2x 2GB)
500GB S-ATAII 3.0Gb/s
PSU: 500W Eagle
After starting the computer up I see uneven lines down the screen. The horizontal stripes or uneven lines are in BIOS as well. I managed to install Windows XP on it but problem stays. On windows screen I see a lot of vertical stripes through screen or screen goes black. 1 out of 15 reboots are OK, usualy only after long period in off state. All reboots afterwards are bad. What I have tried?
1. I checked all connectors
2. I changed ports for RAM
3. I tried monitor on other devices. It is OK.
4. I called to few serviceman but without inspecting it manualy they cannot tell me where the problem is.
The desktop PC is brand new ordered from UK and under warranty. But I do not want to send it back because of transport cost and the courier Interparcel.com refused to pay me £500 for ordering new PC despite of having insured delivery. Please any suggestion? Motherboard or video card?
