hi,
i have a ATI 1300 RADEON (256mb) , 3GB ddr1, pcu( amd 2600+) , i got a new card which is 4870 but when i tried playing assasin or crysis i did not get a huge difference...maybe only 5 % ......what do you think the problem is? is it the driver? or?...
please help |

The problem will be your cpu... AMD 2600+ It is bottlenecking your new GPU, you will need to upgrade that to improve performance....
Run this. CPUID
and post the info in the summary tab.... A screenshot would be best.....

You are on a very old and dead cpu socket, to make things worse they never made dual core cpu's for that socket AFAIK (feel free to prove me wrong shy ).
You will need to upgrade cpu, mobo, and RAM. |
