| Looking for a graphic card that will fit
My graphics card has given up on me .. (nvidia 6700XL)
So right now I'm looking for a new one that fits... PCI-E 16x
Here's some pics of the inside of my case;
with and without graphics card.. now I were to buy a new one.. Like this, an ATI 4770.. I don't think it would fit in? http://benchmarkreviews.com/images/r...ont_Corner.jpg
I'm guessing it won't fix because there's not enough space?
What are some good performing cards that will fit.. or are placed with the fan down?

Hi and welcome to TechIMO!
First thing is first, what power supply do you have? (brand/specs on the sticker on the side, amp outputs)
We need to know that before we suggest any GPU, as the GPU is the most power demanding piece of hardware that's in your tower. So we have to make sure you have a adequate power supply to power it.
Next, no card will turn the fan down on that style of motherboard. Your motherboard is definitely a OEM board, I can tell by the pic. On OEM boards, it's common that they flip them upside down like yours, or totally redesign the motherboard to fit the form factor they're wanting. All GPU's will have the fan facing the same direction, so there is no way to get one where the fan is upside like your wanting.
And finally, your definitely gonna have a problem fitting any kind of "performance" GPU in your tower with the CPU heatsink where it is. Most cards that are decent are anywhere from 9" long and up. So make sure you have at least 9"s of clearance from the back of the PC to the CPU heatsink. IF you don't, I'm not sure what to suggest. It's going to be hard to find a GPU that actually fits in there I'm afraid.
On that note, I just recently built a setup for my friend with a ATI 5750, and it was actually pretty short.(8"s) If any card will fit, my money is on that one. (but still would be extremely close I think) |

Thanks I have a 400W PSU. And I'm afraid that card won't fit either, as it's dual-slot size? |

Yes, the 4770 and 5750 are both dual slot cards as far as I know.
And can you give us the brand of the power supply? And maybe post the specs for the output on the 12v+ rail(s).
That's the important info we need. |

I couldn't find all that info, I'm afraid
Instead I've taken a photograph of my PSU. |

After look at the pics you have, I fairly certain that the 5770 nor the 4850 will fit. They are just to long and are double slot. While not as powerful as the cards you listed, you might want to consider a 9600GT, which will have a better chance of fitting and is more powerful than the 6700 you currently have. It also will not tax your power supply, which is a good one.

Please stop hot linking images from other sites, if you want to post them then please host them at your own hosting account or upload them to TIMO but do not hot link them.
