| HIS HD5770 graphic card question
I am planning to buy the HIS Radeon HD 5770 for my computer. I am just wondering if my PC would be compatible with it. I an just mainly concerned with my motherboard compatibility (which is a MSI 945GCM5-F V2) and whether the power supply I am planning to buy would be enough to power it (a SuperFlower Gaming 650W)? Is there anything else I should be worried about? |

Yes, the motherboard, HD5770 and 650W PSU should work together just fine.
Down side is that it is going to be a tight fit. It looks like you will need to pull the video card out to gain access to replacing the RAM, and you will lose the use of your PCIe1x slot since the HIS model has a double slot cooler. Otherwise, no worries.

Thanks for the quick reply. It's not a problem at all and can't wait to get my card. Right now, I have one of these, Intel(R) 82945G Express Chipset Family. |

I'd be excited too. Are you adding the card for gaming? It will be a huge jump from the onboard video. |

out of curiosity what are the rest of the specs on that system? the only reason I ask is because the 5770 is a fairly big leap for someone going from on-board and its a great card but if you don't have the rest of the system then its only going to get you so far.
